One of the most iconic structures in New York City, St. Patrick’s Cathedral was erected between 1858 and 1888. Following water damage at the Cardinal’s Residence, Norfast prepared a testing and repair program to determine the cause and provide recommendations on how to prevent such damage from reoccurring.
The program included scoping and water testing all drains, leaders, and piping leading from the exterior to the basement of the Cardinal’s Residence. Norfast designed and specified waterproofing and drains at the areaway below street level to prevent future leaks penetrate at the basement level.
